A little about me…..

I am excited to join the learning team here at King’s Christian School! I am passionate about providing great beginnings. Thank you for entrusting me with your little ones!

I come from Vancouver Island but have taught mainly Kindergarten and Grade 1 for ten years in Vancouver, Toronto, Chiang Mai Thailand, and rural Ontario.

Advocating for every child to have a safe and joyful childhood experience has been my driving passion. I have done speaking, filming, and fundraising advocacy against child sex trafficking, which included two years in Thailand in missions.

My mother was an educator in Finland and I bring the philosophy of movement-mediated learning, the arts, and outdoor education to my teaching.

I have Speech Arts and Drama qualifications as well as Teaching English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL). Presently, I am working on my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership.

I am a mother of two–my son and his wife have three little ones and my daughter is in medical school. I love being “Nonna” to my grand-babies! It has certainly brought a new perspective to my teaching.

I am looking forward to partnering with you in laying a strong foundation for continued love-of-learning for the years ahead!
